There can be no quality without food security: this is the principle upon which the code of conduct is based on and it is shared by operators and employees working for the Company.
The attention to quality standards and environmental protection are strictly linked with the respect on processing methods handed down by tradition to achieve healthy, good, high nutritional quality products always appreciated by consumers.
Zappalà has always paid a special attention to the Quality Assurance system and this is approved by the ongoing test, this is the expression of a constant adaptation to technological standards.
The testing laboratories are coordinated by the central laboratory placed in the plant of Zafferana where they consistently perform the routine checks.
The production’s lots are monitored before and after delivery to sales points. In consumer’s eyes this is translated into a total reliability in Zappalà’s products. Besides the usual checks systems of Quality on samples, the Quality Assurance systems “in process” have been implemented. They provide checks on line of the whole production through sophisticated monitoring systems.
Moreover, Zappalà adopts quality systems on a voluntary basis subjected to certification by a Third Party entities. In all plants there are internal laboratories able to carry out direct chemical, physical and microbiological checks on raw materials both on semi-finished and finished products.
The Company also makes use of the collaboration of qualified accredited external laboratories to perform the analysis on food and give further objective evidence on its own analytical findings by performing in such sense periodical Ring Test in order to evaluate the performance of the different internal laboratories and the methods normally used.
