Our story starts at the beginning of the ‘70s from a small laboratory, now a big Dairy Company placed in Sicily at the feet of Mount Etna. Essentially it is the story of a family, the Zappala’s family. A story made of growth and quality.
In the ‘80s, the laboratory changed look, it became a real plant. Hence, the small family enterprise became a real Company. The business management is in the hands of the current entrepreneurial generation better known as Zappalà.
There is a big willpower in expanding the business and give the chance of knowledge on genuineness and distinctiveness of South Italy dairy products to Italy and all the world.
Zappalà started to supply the main distribution chains belonging to the South of Italy very soon so as to create a strong commercial control in this area.
In the ‘90s instead it started to expand through the national and international market following its main purpose: the production development of regional and typical cheeses.
Nowadays, thanks to the investments in some new plants, Zappalà is one of the most important Italian Dairy Companies with the same past passion and the best genuineness and quality ever.
